JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

The Business Development Manager will play a key role leading growth opportunities for Cargill Health Technologies. Individuals in this role will be responsible for leading multiple projects across species through all phases of the project management process.  We seek a professional who will be involved in both internal organic business growth opportunities and leading and participating in building partnerships and due diligence on outside partners. This individual will be accountable for working with commercial and technical teams to develop project business cases, define project scope, schedule, budgets and engage cross functional teams to accomplish the project or implement the new revenue opportunities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Collaborate with commercial, technical and portfolio teams to build business cases, define project scope, timelines, budgets and engaging with multifunctional teams across the organization.  

  • Identify and resolve obstacles to completing project on time and to budget.

  • Aligning opportunities with business financial goals and strategy.

  • Identify customer needs and translate to a project and product.  

  • Project team leadership in planning and execution of external and internal projects and programs within the business.

  • Scenario and business case analysis, coordination, support and analysis for due diligence opportunities.

  • Organize project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules.

  • Synthesize and support data gathering for the PMO portfolio process for the Cargill Health Technologies Leadership team meetings

  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of five years of related work experience

  • Project Management experience with structuring work efficiently, planning and coordinating activities and identifying critical paths to the completion of projects on time and within budget.

  • Experience working with outside parties in business relationship development

  • Ability to travel up to 25% (can be flexible with individual preferences)

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience building and maintaining high performing multifunctional project teams including commercial sales and marketing teams, research and development, manufacturing, law, regulatory and other deliverable owners.
  • Post graduate degree in business management or related field
  • Proven success in leading through influencing.
  • Human or animal health experience.
  • Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, email applications
  • Experience with Project Management software like Microsoft Project, Clarizen or MyPPM.
  • Past experience in mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnership development or joint development agreement structuring.
