JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

The Maintenance Repair Operation & Supplies Buyer (MRO Category Buyer CSSP) will be responsible for supporting multiple country or multiple business sourcing activities. In this role, you will execute complex procurement tasks to provide inputs to the global category team.

The MRO Category Buyer is accountable for the execution of the Regional Maintenance, Repairs, and Operations (MRO) Category Strategies within Latam North (Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, Peru) . Also, this position is accountable for identifying local and regional strategic category opportunities aligned to the organization’s business and support the construction and continuous improvement of the MRO Global Strategy. As part of the core responsibilities, this position is responsible for the coordination of high complexity routine of tactical buying activities for the MRO  category within CSSP, including managing supplier, events and relationships.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Execute medium and high regional complex sourcing events.
  • Drive the implementation of regional sourcing decisions and provide support with the implementation of global sourcing decisions.
  • Provide inputs to the global category team for category strategy development and execution.
  • Provide comprehensive understanding of regional stakeholder, and procurement landscape.
  • Monitor ongoing regional supplier and stakeholder relationships.
  • Follow established procedures to select suppliers for procurement of noncontracted materials, goods, services and supplies.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience working in a Buying Organization/ in complex procurement
  • English: Proven written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Nice to have: SAP ECC, Ariba or other PRTP Cloud solutions)
