JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT
As an Associate, you will have the opportunity to deepen their technical knowledge and develop thought and personal leadership capabilities by working with senior leadership in businesses on corporate development projects in a leading global company.
Execute all type of transactions (acquisitions, divestitures, JVs, mergers, minority investments) from early stage of the process (ideation) to completion and post-completion (integration, disentanglement etc.)
Support best in class execution of M&A projects including but not limited to financial analysis, valuation, due-diligence, marketing, structuring, documentation and process management
Coordinate with all stakeholders (internal and external) to drive efficient process, leveraging from known best practices
Provide financial analysis, valuation, structuring, process expertise to the envisioned transaction
Prepare acquisition proposals, recommending financial and nonfinancial strategic objectives and alternatives
Provide guidance and coaching to Analysts and other team members in problem solving and process management
Participate and contribute to the CSD training activities and further develop quantitative and qualitative skills
Drive best practice in knowledge management and contribute to other important initiatives
Work with the Corporate Development extended leadership team to develop the Corporate Development practice
Contribute to recruitment and other engagement initiatives in the Corporate Strategy and Development team

Superior academic track record at a recognized university
3 to 5 years of work experience in an investment bank, private equity firm, boutique advisory, Big 4 or a multi-national corporation (corporate development or business development function) with direct exposure to Asia or 1-2 years relevant experience post completion of an MBA
Strong valuation knowledge (particularly discounted cash flow) and strong understanding of financial and accounting principles
Prior experience in managing a transaction process and leading a transaction team, including playing an integral part during the due diligence process
Ability to lead financial modelling efforts, including providing guidance to junior team members and taking ownership of model inputs and outputs
Strong proficiency across Microsoft Office products with an ability to succinctly summarize information for consumption by senior stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (fluency in a major Asian language is highly attractive)
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization and work collaboratively in a team environment, including providing support and guidance to junior team members
"Can do" attitude and a willingness to learn from and contribute to a high-performance team
This position will be required to travel regionally from time to time.
