Job Purpose and Impact

The Account manager – Feed will, with guidance, sell directly to the consumer or business purchaser or indirectly through various sales channels. We seek a results-oriented professional who is comfortable conducting face-to-face and remote sales with new and existing customers within the animal feed sector. In this role, you will assist in evaluating customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services and solutions. You will be part of the Animal Feed sales team, focusing on the European Animal feed industry and where you will be managing a divers range of customers, with the goal to be a trusted advisor.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and utilize best in class commercial intelligence and insights to ensure customer understanding and insights to ensure customer understanding via direct relationships.
  • Identify new business opportunities and commercial partnerships in the animal feed market.
  • Responsible for EURO 6-10 Mio contribution margin.
  • With guidance conduct market research and pricing, sales and merchandising activities.
  • Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.
  • Protect, grow and diversify the relationship with targeted customers.
  • Support business growth by disseminating favorable information about the organization and its products and services.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of agriculture, nutrition, business or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three years of related work experience in the sales domain and/or animal nutrition
  • Proven track record of successful customer relationship management and business development
  • Understanding of the feed and or food industry
  • Fluency in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree and or a degree in a related field of agriculture/animal nutrition
  • Three to six years of sales experience, including developing deep customer engagement and prospecting new customers in a B2B environment
  • Large network in (compound) feed industry in Europe
  • Affinity with and experience in the feed industry, preferably with some knowledge of regulations and legislation within the nutrion field
  • Fluency in Dutch, German and/or French/Spanish
