Salt Strategic Pricing Internship:

The Salt Strategic Pricing Intern will work on pricing projects that improve our government pricing and analytics capabilities and support our annual strategy, including data and analytics development, pricing, and profitability analysis primarily in the Road Safety market.

Your Work:

  • Develop, refresh, and validate data inputs into price setting and profitability measurement
  • Enhance and deploy analytical tools to support commercial execution of price strategies
  • Deeply analyze pricing and profitability
  • Collaborate across business teams and functions to ensure data and tools address business needs
  • Champion the pricing improvements to ensure successful adoption and use within the business
  • Maintain pricing analysis subject matter aptitude, standard methodologies etc.

Internship details:

  • Internships are typically 12 weeks in duration.
  • Interns are paid hourly for time worked.
  • Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work.
  • Interns may have the opportunity to travel during their term.
  • Interns who demonstrate outstanding performance and a curiosity to learn more may be offered an internship, co-op, or full-time position to return the following year.

Required Qualifications:

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa, or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or related degree graduating between December 2023 and June 2024
  • Candidates must be geographically flexible and willing to relocate for an internship opportunity anywhere in the U.S.
  • Able to complete a 6-month co-op starting February 2023 – August 2023
  • Skilled in visual analytical tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Must possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work with limited guidance
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to work with large and complex sets of business data to anticipate future business needs
  • Inclination to challenge the status quo and be tenacious in the pursuit of meaning change
  • Proven ability to work optimally with individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds and cultures
  • Strong Excel and data validation and visualization skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce.com/CPQ and Statistical Pricing Optimization tools
  • Risk Management / Trading experience
  • Working experiences across multiple lines of businesses (internal or external)
  • Experience using database, BI, and analytical tools
  • Business proficiency in languages other than English
