Job Purpose and Impact

The Technical Services and Research Support Specialist will help to develop and execute research trials working with internal and external partners to ensure research is executed in a way that meets research goals and complies with all applicable protocols. In this role, you will provide guidance to research partners and help manage those relationships.

PROJECT JOB: 5 years

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the execution of research trials or studies ensuring all parties involved follow protocols.
  • Foster strong relationships with select research partners.
  • Execute necessary training for those involved in trials to ensure all protocols are understood.
  • Facilitate data collection related to trials or studies.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree or other post-secondary degree
  • Ability to work across multiple components of overall research projects
