Job Purpose and Impact

The Business Development Leader (remote) will foster and grow our business development activities with our existing key strategic retail accounts as well as developing new opportunities for Cargill Protein. We seek a results-oriented professional who will represent Cargill Protein’s retail business development in the province of Quebec. You will also support Protein ingredients and food service channels when required.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify new business opportunities and commercial partnerships.
  • Create business development strategies and annual business development plans to reach business objectives and revenue with targeted accounts.
  • Work closely with protein account managers to understand business requirements and market needs.
  • Identify new market segments and opportunities for business development, calculating returns and investment.
  • Obtain agreement to execute the investment, resources and actions required for business development.
  • You will serve as an expert in your field and work with limited direction, using your technical meat knowledge to provide solutions for assigned customers base. You will collaborate with many stakeholders within the Cargill protein organization to develop and execute business plans and opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Bilingual French and English
  • Possess a valid Canadian Driver's Licence in good standing
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in retail meat merchandising
  • Technical meat background
  • Strong sales process background
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar sales management platform
