Key Account Development Manager
JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT:
The Key Account Development Manager, will develop ways to increase sales and revenue from new and existing market segments and channels. In this role, you will develop and implement business plans, build and nurture relationships with various procurement and research and development stakeholders and participate in activities of marketing, sales and engineering support to reach objectives and revenue goals.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Translate customer needs for Hydrogenated Oils/ Industrial Waxes into business strategy to capture commercial sales
- Recognize and pursue new market segments and opportunities for business development in Hydrogenated Oils/ Industrial waxes for rubber & plastics by closely partnering with R&D
- Monitor market development activities to align with business goals and ensures that sales and marketing strategies and tactics utilized by the business are effectively aligned with regional marketplace practices
- Participation in various industry forums representing the company and promoting our products
- Prioritize market development activities and set revenue targets by partnering with Technical and Operations lead
- Lead marketing of Industrial Waxes in the region in close coordination with global product line managers and global category marketing lead
- Demonstrate customer intimacy by quickly solving technical problems, ensuring timely supplies and quickly resolving other customer queries
- Execute sales transactions by negotiating contracts, developing pricing strategy and confirming payment
- Independently handle complex commercial & technical issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering and related fields
- Minimum of 7 years of business development experience in Industrial Waxes/ Hydrogenated Oils/ Oleochemicals
- Proven work experience in Industrial Waxes/ Hydrogenated Oils for industrial applications like rubber/ plastic application
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate when working in cross functional teams
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Knowledge of PC-tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to travel 60% of the time
- Fluent in English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/ Chemistry with Post graduation in Management
- 7-12 years of experience in combined sales, marketing and business development; with minimum 5 years sales experience in Industrial Waxes/ Oleochemicals
- Demonstrated ability to build B2B brands and sell value to customers
PRIOR BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCES:
- Proven track record of successfully building Wax/ Oleochemical business in India
- Strong technical orientation and demonstrated ability to partnering with R&D to introduce new/ modified products to the market

- Identify new market segments and opportunities for business development, calculating returns and investment
