Job Purpose and Impact

The Sales Director Food Service and Bakery for the India region will lead and develop strategy, build sales teams and processes to achieve revenue targets for all sales teams. In this role, you will provide vision and direction to team members and represent the organization in promoting and selling products and services in food services and bakery categories.

  • Lead sales strategy, operations in the region. own lead and develop the Sales & Distribution system in the consumer products business across India to achieve targets pertaining to Sales Volumes, Distribution health, Earnings and Market shares across all three business channels – General Trade, Modern Trade & Emerging Channels
  • Develop the RTM strategy together with Head of Marketing and the MD, and execute this across geographies
  • Evaluate, measure and lead the product and brand profit and loss. Meet product volume and profit targets.
  • Oversee the delivery of a fully integrated marketing strategy in the sales sphere, for all the product lines
  • Develop mid to long term plans to optimize the organization, function or sub function and the talent needed for the job.
  • Monitor the competition pricing and work closely with Strategic Pricing to develop the right price benchmarking vis-à-vis competitive brands
  • Orchestrate high decibel product launches together with Marketing to ensure product placements across channels and achieve targets of distribution, activations and merchandising.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of eight years of related work experience, five years of supervisory experience.

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA from an Institute of repute with at least 15 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in leading the sales function for a region with a P&L responsibility of at least 250 Cr
  • Should have lead at least a 100 member sales team (FTE + field sales force)
