Job Purpose and Impact

The Account Manager will focus on a few of our large, complex customers in the UK, Scandinavia and Baltics. The successful candidate will manage the retail bottled oil business according to GEOS strategy, linking up with the internal functions for successful deployment of actions plans for products and service delivery. We seek a seasoned professional who will handle our critical products that require excellent client relationship skills to maintain competitive positioning.

GEOS stands for Global Edible Oils Solutions. At GEOS we help you create quality food products with our broad range of liquid oils, tropical fat oils and extensive refining, blending and modifying facilities across Europe. Helping with flavor enhancement, texture and structure development, our fats and oils make snacks, margarines, pastries, chocolates, and other foods enticing to consumers. And Cargill vitamins, emulsifiers and anti-oxidants offer even more opportunities to enhance your products' functionality. Customers in retail, catering and foodservice can select from a comprehensive range of oils, from the basic monoseed oils like refined sunflower oil, to olive oil of various origins and specifically designed solutions for frying and salad applications. Our bottling and packaging capabilities will meet the ever-changing needs of our customers.

This role can be based out of any of Cargill's UK locations or fully remote considered. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop a plan to establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal sales targets. 
  • Build a business plan for each account.
  • Coordinate use of resources (e. g., technical, advertising) to provide value-added services to accounts.
  • Develop strong client relationships that provide significant input to planning product, price and service strategies.
  • Support supervisor and other sales professionals in developing new market opportunities in the designated territory or market.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Confirmed related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial and service orientation/customer feeling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Experience in retail sales or in retail central.
