Job Purpose and Impact

Commercial Lead, Crop Output will be responsible for

  • Driving farmer-level procurement through FPCs/Traders and other interested customers
  • Steering face to face and remote selling to new and existing customers like – Big Buyers and Processors, with an aim to increase farmers’ value capture in the value-chain
  • In this role, you will generate income and control risks by performing complex trading work, with medium risk tolerance

Key Accountabilities

•   Map a detailed individual farmer-led procurement strategy and execution plan for agricultural crop produces like Maize, Paddy, Soybean, Pulses and Groundnut in states like Karnataka and MP and will keep expanding to the new geographies within India, with the time 
•    Apply a thorough comprehension of trade to execute and monitor the short-term trading strategies and books for a specific commodity, market, or customer. 
•    Develop and implement crop procurement and sales strategies, identify potential customers, and foster current customer relationships, for our customers.
•    Managing organizational procurement and sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls.
•    Generate market, positions and profit and loss reports based on estimates and reports.
•    Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
•    Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications
•    Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
•    Minimum of four years of related work experience
•    Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications 
•    12-15 Years of experience in Agri output trade
•    Masters in Agri Business Management.
•    Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse team, spread across diverse geographies and to deliver in a time bound program 
•    Familiarity with other business disciplines such as finance, market research, and planning
•    Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to negotiate and problem-solve. 
•    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
