Flake Packaging Technician

Job Type: Full-time
Shift(s) Available: This is a 2nd shift schedule 4 days a week, 10 hours per day
Starts Sunday 7pm-5am, Monday 8pm-6am, Tuesday 8pm-6am, Wednesday 8pm-6am.
Compensation: $20/hr. The shift preference for this shift is $0.55Cents

Principal Accountabilities:
- Troubleshoot and operate packaging equipment
- Verify and record production quantities produced and/or consumed
- Communicate effectively with counterparts and management during shift exchanges
- Ensure product quality meets Food Safety guidelines and customer specifications at packaging
- Perform preventive maintenance on packaging equipment
- Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to perform physical job duties, which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or prior military experience
- 3 to 5 years of forklift operation experience
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP
- Basic experience in troubleshooting mechanical components and systems
- Ability to operate machinery and industrial equipment
- High School Diploma/GED, or a minimum of two years of relevant work experience
