Job Purpose and Impact
The Statutory Reporting Specialist is part of the Global Statutory Reporting Center of Excellence (COE) team and supports the Germany market. The role performs moderately complex record-to-report activities to collect, process, and present accurate financial data for statutory reporting and external decision-making purposes while ensuring compliance with financial transaction recording standards.
Key Accountabilities
- RECORD TO REPORT ACTIVITIES: Performs moderately complex activities, including processing journal entries and intercompany transactions, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close activities. Ensures compliance with local GAAP, IFRS and contributes to process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives within the Global Statutory Reporting Center of Excellence.
- FINANCIAL STATEMENTS & ANALYSIS: Prepare and analyze statutory financial statements and disclosures for complex legal entity structures in Germany. Provides deep analytical insights into financial results, variances, and trends to support audit readiness, compliance reviews, and management decision-making.
- INTERNAL CONTROLS & GOVERNANCE: Supports internal control activities related to statutory reporting, entity compliance, and regulatory requirements, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and governance standards.
- PROCESS EXECUTION IMPROVEMENT: Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance statutory reporting processes, systems, and operating models, contributing to standardization, automation, operational efficiency, and the overall effectiveness of the Global Statutory Reporting Center of Excellence.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
Fluent English, both written and spoken, is required.
- Intermediate German language proficiency is preferred and considered a strong advantage due to the support provided to the Germany market and involvement in German statutory reporting activities.
