This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Plant Material Manager Beef will lead and develop our team that plans, schedules and handles material inventories needed for production. We seek a seasoned professional who will direct, advise and make decisions on all major material requirements planning activities for a medium-sized team with medium or high impact on working capital.
Key Accountabilities
- Review and publish material requirements planning metrics targets.
- Provide support and direction to ensure materials are sourced in alignment with the master production plan.
- Provide support and advice to ensure appropriate data and inputs are used for material requirements planning.
- Support team in handling material inventories to target levels and managing exceptions.
- Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
- Experience with inventory systems, for example SAP
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of seven years of experience with at least three in material requirements planning, supply and inventory planning, master production planning or production scheduling
- Two years of supervisory experience
