Job Purpose and Impact

The Time and Attendance Specialist will design payroll processes that align with company needs and comply with government regulations. In this role, you will complete, verify and process forms and documentation to administer benefits, including pension plans, unemployment and medical insurance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Create and maintain work instructions and standard operating procedures for current processes to identify areas of improvement.
  • Develop, test and certify all current processes and reports.
  • Prepare operational reports for monthly close and follow up on the related tasks and questions to deliver solutions.
  • Assist the employees regarding different human resources processes to provide support on the related issues and follow up with customers on unanswered questions.
  • Handle monthly conversations with partners, attend to meetings related to human resources specific process and plan activities to guarantee deliverable deadlines.
  • Monitor team performance and metrics to ensure business needs are met and proactively propose process improvements.
  • Train team resources on the systems reports developed to ensure smooth business continuity after the contract period end.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Human Resources certificate
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Good communication skills, Team player
  • Self-motivated and independent with a high stress resilience and a great sense of organization.
  • Previous Experience in using Horoquartz
  • Good understanding of payroll cycle a strong asset
