Fresno Protein Processing Plant
Located in Central California, Cargill’s Fresno facility resides in the fifth-largest city in the state and is located in the #1 agricultural county in the nation. With its vast amount of cultural, recreational and entertainment amenities, it’s no wonder why Fresno is considered as California’s “Year-Round Playground.”
The Fresno team supports recruitment efforts for three different sites, each producing unique products. Acquired from Beef Packers Inc. in 2006, the Fresno campus employs almost 1,000 employees, processing an average of 1,600 head of cattle per day and producing 1 million pounds of trim and boxed beef and 400,000 pounds of case ready products daily. We have various operations including harvesting, fabrication, grinding and packaging with production shifts varying by department. We also produce hamburger patties solely for McDonald’s and service McDonald’s locations throughout the west coast. The Sanger facility is a recent acquisition and produces treats for household pets. Employees donate time and services to a variety of organizations such as: Cargill Cares, Cargill Neighborhood Serve Day, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, United Way, Coats-for-Kids coat drive, Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House of Charity, Hispanic Business Student Association, Girl Scouts, Ruiz 4 Kids and other various school programs and sponsorships.
