Professional, HR Business Partner - Japan Office
Job Purpose and Impact
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) supports leaders and employees in driving talent, organization, and culture initiatives that enable business success.
This role partners closely with managers to identify people-related challenges and opportunities, contributing to employee engagement, talent development, organizational effectiveness, and change initiatives.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop broad HRBP capabilities while working in a global, matrixed environment and collaborating with stakeholders across functions and geographies.
Key Accountabilities
Talent Management & Employee Development
- Partner with managers to support performance management, talent reviews, succession discussions, and employee development initiatives
- Help identify organizational and talent needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Support the implementation of leadership and employee development programs
Employee Engagement & Organizational Effectiveness
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and help foster an inclusive, high-performing culture
- Partner with leaders to understand organizational challenges and support change management efforts
- Analyze employee feedback and organizational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Business Partnership
- Build trusted relationships with business leaders and employees
- Provide guidance on people-related topics and help managers navigate employee matters
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and broader HR teams to deliver integrated solutions
Change & Transformation
- Support organizational change initiatives and communication strategies
- Contribute to projects that improve organizational effectiveness, employee experience, and business performance
- Help drive the evolution of a more globally connected and multicultural organization
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above
- 3-8 years of experience in Human Resources
- Business-level Japanese and English
- Experience partnering with managers, employees, or stakeholders on people-related initiatives
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
