Job Purpose and Impact
- The Senior Director, Digital Technology & Data - Food, Pricing job owns the execution of the digital technology strategy in alignment with the overall enterprise strategy and functional direction while also considering the needs of the markets and industries served by the business group. This job provides strategic thought and product leadership, guiding how pricing technology can evolve and transform the business to better serve customers and consumers, ensures that the investment portfolio balances the demands of digital core modernization with bold, innovative choices and identifies opportunities to drive the utilization and adoption of standard technology solutions. This job also conducts comprehensive reviews of status measures with the business, identifying and managing key dependencies that could impact the successful execution of the strategy and associated value creation.
Key Accountabilities
- STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: Provides technical model and product leadership in building the strategic roadmap for portfolio and directs the development and implementation of the strategy for a business area or significant function, anticipating external trends, complex challenges and opportunities to ensure integration with wider corporate strategy.
- PARTNER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Partners within matrixed functional team to align and realize data management strategies while encouraging good partnering and cross functional collaboration across technology teams.
- VALUE CREATION & COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT: Gathers input and influences business leaders to develop the short to long term digital technology strategy, shaping the future needs for the business, provides consultation and strategic expertise to partners in defining requirements and, broad oversight to portfolio investments for digital, innovation and modernization initiatives.
- PERFORMANCE EVALUATION & OPERATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS: Develops risk models involving market, credit and operational risk to ensure controls are operating effectively, and conducts comprehensive reviews of status measures with the business to identify and manage key dependencies that could impact strategy execution and value creation.
- PROJECT EXECUTION & BENEFIT REALIZATION: Partners closely with wider business, function and technology teams to develop value based technology roadmap that aligns to business objective and budget and, ensures the portfolio of investment balances the demands of digital core modernization with bold, innovative choices.
- INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY ENABLEMENT: Identifies and evaluates innovative opportunities to drive the use and adoption of standard technology solutions. They will lead in modeling pricing solutions with the business team.
- VENDOR RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Manages relationships with external vendors to ensure alignment with business objectives, compliance of service level agreements and successful execution of technology strategies.
- TEAM MANAGEMENT: Manages global team members to achieve the organization's goals, by ensuring productivity, communicating performance expectations, creating goal alignment, giving and seeking feedback, providing coaching, measuring progress and holding people accountable, supporting employee development, recognizing achievement and lessons learned, and developing enabling conditions for talent to thrive in an inclusive team culture.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 8 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 12 years or more of relevant experience.
Short Description
Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
The expected salary for this position is $173,000- $235,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance. At Cargill we put people first.
