Location: Sarnia, ON 
Job Type: Seasonal
Shift Available: Day shift
Compensation: $19.50/hr
Term Length: June 2025 - end of August 2024

Principal Accountabilities: 

  • Sweeping
  • Shoveling
  • Trimming weeds 
  • Painting 
  • Site housekeeping (sign installation, site clean-up, setting up fencing)
  • Aiding with deliveries
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
  • Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, twisting, bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice


Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Actively enrolled in post-secondary institution 
  • Experience working in a production or plant environment
