Process Engineer

Job Purpose and Impact
The Process Engineer applies process and project engineering techniques to improve moderately complex manufacturing processes and products. In this role, you will provide technical support, operations experience, continuous improvement techniques and project management skills and be a contributing member of a team on moderately complex issues related to the operational domain area. You will provide guidance and oversight of external third parties that are utilized at the site and improve the stability, capability and availability of processes while reducing variability and mitigating risks in the operational area. You will enable the operational area to achieve variable and fixed cost and operating efficiency targets, while protecting our people, communities, the environment and assets and honor our business obligations.(#LI-ES2 )
Key Accountabilities
- Collect and analyze moderately complex operational data and trends and develop recommendations and plans to improve the performance and reporting process of manufacturing equipment and processes and ensure consistent monitoring and early warning indicators.
- Execute stategies to develop and coordinate operational aspects of assigned projects in areas such as edible oils manufacturing.
- Monitor project progress including budgets, schedules to assess issues and recommend resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Partner with other departments to find more efficient, cost effective approaches to promote higher quality and reliable outcomes.
- Partner with relevant personnel from other department within the site or across the business to benchmark practices and assist in the creation and execution of strategies.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Possesses working knowledge of engineering subject matter
- Project management experience.
- Minimum of two years of related work experience
- Other minimum qualifications may apply
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Certification
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong data analysis capabilities including continuous improvement experience or certifications
- Understanding of PI (data historian), ACAD (auto CAD), MS Project
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience managing third party resources to deliver business results
- Previous experience with construction, commissioning, and startup of projects and/or process improvements.

The expected salary for this position is $78,000 - 120,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
