Principal Accountabilities:
- Operate salt conveying equipment to load pneumatic trucks
- Conduct inspections and use appropriate safety equipment to open truck hatches
- Operate heavy mobile equipment, including railcar movers; open railcar doors and lids
- Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks and railcars, and transport products within the warehouse
- Utilize SAP and other computer software systems
- Ensure product quality through inspection and testing
- Repalletize or dispose of distressed or damaged product
- Perform general housekeeping duties
- Collect samples and perform quality testing
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
- Work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays with little to no prior notice
- Perform additional departmental tasks as required
Required Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
- Prior experience in production-related work
- Forklift operating experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Experience operating railcar movers
- Experience with SAP and/or HMI systems
