Albert Lea Protein Processing Plant

Known as “The Land Between the Lakes”, the city of Albert Lea is located at the Crossroads of Interstates 90 and 35 in Southern Minnesota, about 90 miles south of the Twin Cities. The town is named after Albert Miller Lea, a topographer with the United States Dragoons, and began as a small settlement in 1855 on the northwest edge of Albert Lea Lake. Albert Lea’s community features a family-friendly environment, including activities both on and off the water – shopping, watersports, outdoor events, terrific dining, and plenty of arts and entertainment for everyone!

Cargill is a proud and notable partner in the Albert Lea community. The facility was established in 1968 and consists of 150,000 square feet of production and distribution space. Cargill employees contribute their time and financial resources to the community through programs such as Relay for Life, Special Olympics, SkillsUSA and United Way.
