Job Purpose and Impact

This position is responsible for driving Americas near and long-term contribution margin for Meat and Dairy Alternatives (M&DA), a high-growth category which is part of Cargill Food and Bio (CFB) Innovate and Grow. The category aspiration is for Cargill to be our Meat & Dairy Alternatives customers’ co-creation partner for success with delightful and value-conscious solutions meeting consumers’ demand for nutrition and sustainability.  

This is an exciting opportunity to co-create with customers and provide tailored solutions by leveraging Cargill Food and Bio's (CFB) entire portfolio and partnering as a category subject matter expert with regional Go To Market (GTM), tech. service, marketing, and sustainability teams. Key aspects of the role include seeking to understand customer and market needs, creating and/or contributing to customer / category sales plans, driving M&DA specific projects with customers, and coordinating with stakeholders across the organization.  Estimated 65% focus on dairy alternatives and 35% focus on Meat Alternatives. This is a quickly evolving category; individuals with strong commercial acumen, technical interest, passion for M&DA spaces, capacity to work through ambiguity, proactively seek solutions, and manage change will be successful in this position. 

Key Accountabilities

• Develop, influence and oversee highly complex business level sales strategies to achieve revenue and traction targets.
• Lead the development and implementation of business specific sales plans and provide strategies to protect, grow and diversify relationships with targeted customers.
• Build, monitor and revise lead generation plans to develop substantive sales opportunities.
• Identify and assess customer needs, acquire new customers and recommend appropriate products, services and solutions.
• Partner collaboratively with leadership to develop, implement and handle sales programs across various channels, work closely with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and market needs and collaborate with business teams to negotiate and close contracts.
• Lead commercial business case development for NPSS initiatives to actively manage the opportunity pipeline and deliver growth with regional sales and technical teams. 
• Create business development strategies and annual business development plans to reach business objectives and revenue.
• Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of six years of related work experience
• Experience in co-creation or tailored solutions initiatives and projects with customers 
• Experience with spreadsheet and presentation applications
• Experience in project and change management 

Preferred Qualification

• Experience with CRM software applications 
• Experience working across geographies 
• Experience with defining consumer and customer needs to drive business model and value prop creation 
• Customer facing experience 
• Experience analyzing profit and loss, margin and price to drive decision making
