Location

Role can be base in any of the major Cargill office locations in the EMEA region (preference for Schiphol, NL or Mechelen, BEL but all locations will be considered). Hybrid working is available. 

Job Purpose and Impact

The Regional Human Resources Operations Director is responsible for the payroll, time and attendance, benefits administration, leave of absence and exit for employees across the EMEA region. In this role, you will use your expertise to lead and develop human resources operations and continuous improvement initiatives related to the accurate and timely administration and overall delivery of operations. You will provide leadership, guidance and support to company's management and department staff and will participate in cross regional global initiatives with essential teams. You will manage large vendor relationships and ensure operations are compliant, policy and program changes follow plan provisions and are responsible for the experience holistically.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and determine HR Operations related strategies, policies, programs, processes, governance, audits and compliance for teams across EMEA.
  • Collaborate across internal functions and businesses and maintain strong vendor relationships.  Manage regional vendors, holding them accountable for maintaining performance standards.
  • Develop research and analysis based insights and leverage technology tools to identify and lead ongoing operational excellence and service improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate and proactively manage a variety of stakeholders, including senior management and handle escalations as needed.
  • Build and lead a team with strong client focus, promote a collaborative environment, effective performance and a continuous improvement philosophy.
  • Champion a strong culture of continuous improvement to ensure the deployment of scalable, simplified and standardized processes.
  • Uphold high standards for the accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of controls, audits and system updates and ensure files meet or exceed compliance requirements.
  • Provide strategic leadership, development and talent management activities for direct reports and their organizations, which may include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, training and budgeting. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of eight to ten years of related work experience, five years of supervisory experience.
  • HR Operational experience gained across multiple EMEA countries.
  • 20-30% travel.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
  • Human resources certificate.
  • Experience in leading end to end Operations activity including Time & Pay. 
  • Multi market exposure and managing complex operations (for example payroll).
