Job Purpose and Impact

Location - This is a full time days based permanent role based at our sites in Liverpool (L20) 

Cargill’s crush plants and refinery are based in Liverpool ,  The crush products are developed for various implementations in food (e.g. catering), biodiesel and animal feed. The Seaforth and Brocklebank refineries process the crude vegetable oils further for food chain and technical uses. The Maintenance Technician will perform complex maintenance and troubleshooting on production or warehouse machinery with in depth knowledge of a trade or understanding of multiple trades performing under occasional guidance. In this role, you will utilize maintenance and reliability practices to complete preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance to ensure assets are maintained to ensure effectiveness of the facility.

Key Accountabilities

• Utilize maintenance and reliability practices with little to no guidance to ensure all assets are maintained in safe condition while continuing to ensure the life of the equipment being used.
• Independently complete preventative, predictive and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility.
• Apply knowledge and ability to operate two or more standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, electric tools, precision maintenance tools and preventative maintenance technology tools.
• Apply an in depth understanding and experience of two or more maintenance trades and components (i.e. electrical, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumatic systems).
• Modify equipment by reading either electrical or mechanical schematics, blueprints and operation manuals.
• Document completed work and the conditions found utilizing maintenance computer software interact regularly with peers and provide feedback to management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualifications.
• Time served apprenticeship with relative experience.
• Mechanical & Pipefitter/Welder Qualifications.
• Other minimum qualifications may apply
