This position is in our Food Enterprise where we are committed to serving food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. Principal Accountabilities:
- Safely operate industrial forklifts and powered industrial equipment to move, store, load, and unload materials within production and warehouse areas.
- Handle irregular, bulky, or palletized materials, including loading trucks and stacking product in high racks or storage locations.
- Interacting with truck drivers
- Review and complete production shipping and receiving documentation, and enter material movement data into computerized systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area by disposing of waste using compactors or balers, and following all safety and lockout procedures.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or variable shifts with advance notice.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
- Must be able to perform physical job duties with or without reasonable accommodation: bending, kneeling, lifting 50 pounds, climbing, crawling, and twisting
- Ability to work in elevated areas(4 feet or above)
- Must be able to read/write English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating forklift
- Basic computer skills
- Ability work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Inventory systems knowledge
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word
- Basic mechanical experience
- Prior experience in production related work
