Application Developer
Job Purpose and Impact
- The Professional, Application Development job maintains, integrates and implements software applications within the organization. Under close supervision, this job performs basic software application testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new software and updates.
Key Accountabilities
- APPLICATION CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT: Supports programming & configuration of CNS (Cargill Nutrition System) application including MAX /BILLS /NIR, responsible for the initial technical integration of CNS application testing at customer sites including system installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance.
- APPLICATION SUPPORT: Conducts necessary IT technical connection with Cargill DT&D team and SMT team, requiring basic English communication skills.
- STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers and business partners to ensure configurations align with standards and Animal Nutrition & Health commercial goals.
- INCIDENT & REQUEST MANAGEMENT: Reviews, analyzes and prioritizes incoming incident tickets and user requests.
- APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT & DEPLOYMENT: Performs programming, configuration, testing and deployment of fixes or updates for application version releases.
- USER COMMUNICATION & SUPPORT: Keeps an open channel of communication with users and responds to standard and moderately complex application support requests and needs.
- VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Supports activities with software vendors.
- Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and above in Science/Engineering/SupplyChain.
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Experience in Agriculture or livestock farming will be a plus.
- Good English speaking & written.
- Strong communication, learning ability, logical thinking and comprehension.
- Experience in MAX and other CNS tools (NIR, AutoCal.,Bills and FC) will be a plus.
