Executive - Mechanical Engineer
Job Purpose and Impact
Executive - Mechanical Engineer, will assist to design, develop and maintain overall governance on standards, application, gaps, solutions and measurements to increase production quality, efficiency and volume for the business. In this role, you will assist day to day activities related to mechanical, piping and equipment engineering to enable projects and improve our capabilities by providing engineering support for the organization.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop knowledge of current and foundational mechanical, piping and equipment engineering, policies, procedures and job aids.
- Assist in the execution of identifying, monitoring and implementing mechanical, piping and equipment engineering standards, policies, procedures and job aids.
- Support the development of new standards and procedures by setting up tools and reporting mechanisms to monitor performance.
- Provide support and delivery services for a location.
- Support operations by identifying and reporting issues regarding performance gaps and provide inputs to senior team members.
- Monitor, track and report audit control mechanisms to identify inefficiencies and to deliver improvements.
- Perform basic safety compliance tasks aligned to applicable regulations.
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Implement Mechanical Integrity Program
- Execute Electrical Maintenance Program (EMP)
- Execute preventive & predictive maintenance for rotating and static equipment
- Perform root cause failure analysis (RCA) and improve asset reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and internal standards.
- Reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
- Support projects, MOC, and plant modifications.
- Critical Spare availability.
- SAP PM activity & Planning of work as per Schedule.
- Development of asset list for new equipment and PM planning in SAP.
- NDT activity for Static equipment.
- Understanding and analysis of vibration analysis of rotary equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspection, and testing – HT Panel, PCC, MCC Panel.
- Ensure compliance with LOTO, arc flash, and safety procedures
- Maintain electrical distribution systems, motors, PLC/SCADA
- Troubleshoot electrical & Instruments failures and minimize downtime.
- Maintain documentation, drawings, and maintenance records.
- Maintain equipment history.
- Cargill Global policy for MI, EMP, EHS implementation.
- Identify & manage shut down activity in Plant.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s / Engineering degree in mechanical with minimum 6-8 years of relevant work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong technical and mathematical skills
- Intermediate project management skills
- Demonstrated working knowledge of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques
