Job Purpose and Impact
The Associate Professional, Record to Report role manages Global Mobility and HR Accounting activities by collecting, analyzing, and processing financial data to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and informed business decision-making. The role performs month-end and year-end accounting activities, ensures adherence to accounting policies and financial controls, and serves as a key stakeholder contact for business partners, HR teams, and external service providers. The position identifies process improvement opportunities, supports audit and compliance requirements, and contributes to the standardization and optimization of RTR processes across the organization.
Key Accountabilities
• RECORD TO REPORT ACTIVITIES: Performs Global Mobility and HR Accounting activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries, payroll and mobility-related accruals, intercompany transactions, monthly and quarterly close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, reporting, cost center allocations, bank accounting and bank reconciliations. Ensures accurate accounting and financial reporting of employee-related costs in compliance with accounting policies and controls.
• GLOBAL MOBILITY & EMPLOYEE COST ACCOUNTING:
Supports accounting processes related to global mobility programs, including expatriate and international assignment costs, relocation expenses, tax equalization settlements, payroll impacts, and employee benefits. Coordinates with HR, Payroll, tax providers, and business stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate recording of mobility-related transactions.
• POLICY COMPLIANCE & CONSISTENCY: Maintains standard operating procedures and process documentation for HR Accounting and Global Mobility activities. Ensures compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, statutory regulations, and tax requirements, while supporting audit requests and control testing activities.
• BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP: Builds effective working relationships with HR, Payroll, Tax, Mobility teams, business stakeholders, and external service providers. Responds to inquiries, resolves accounting issues, and delivers accurate and timely financial information to support business operations and decision-making.
• PROCESS EXECUTION IMPROVEMENT: Applies knowledge of RTR, HR Accounting, and Global Mobility processes to identify process improvement, standardization, and automation opportunities. Supports initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen controls, improve data quality, and deliver greater insight into employee-related costs and mobility programs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in RTR, General Ledger, HR Accounting, Global Mobility Accounting, or a related finance function.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications; SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with HR, Payroll, Tax, and Finance teams.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while handling confidential information with discretion.
- Internal candidates are required to provide performance ratings from the last two performance cycles as part of the application process.
