Strategic Marketing Sr. Specialist
Job Purpose and Impact
Strategic Marketing Sr. Specialist will apply full knowledge to develop a deep understanding of the customer, consumer trend and the market dynamics within the focused category, mainly for B2B channel to support strategic commercial decisions.
The focused categories include :
- Convenience Category - processed food, sauces and condiments, etc.
- Indulgence Category – confectioneries, ice cream, bakery etc.
In this role, you will research, analyze and validate complex and varied data sources, including macro economics, business environment, statistics and comepetition in the category.
Key Accountabilities
- Triangulate channel and category data and intelligence from various sources, apply analysis and analytics, to develop category growth strategy to support sales proposals to customers in Japan and Korea
- Apply full knowledge of insights tools and methodologies to continuously improve category insights processes and activities
- Partner with customer core team members internally, across different roles such as Sales, Technical, Process-Product-Development, Product Line, Supply chain to support developing customer strategy
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five years in strategic marketing in food industry or a consultant experience for a relevant industry
- Strong ability to make connections across disparate and complex data and insights, see the full picture and use tailored story telling techniques to influence and enable insights based decision making across diverse commercial teams.
- Fluent in Japanese and English
- Excellent skills on PowerPoint making presentations
- Willing to collaborate with others
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in using AI, and a willingness to actively adopt & learn new technologies
