Job Purpose and Impact

LOCATION: Wolverhampton (UK) WV9 5EU

With a number of CAPEX projects underway and in the pipeline, this is an exciting opportunity to join a team of professional engineers to participate in the preparation and execution of investment projects. This will entail the management and coordination of the engineering, construction and process activities to assist with start-ups in cooperation with other technical departments. 

In this role, you will also evaluate worker productivity and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and operating performance, reduce waste and delays, promote cost control or reductions. Ensures Build projects are planned and executed in compliance with laws and regulations.

The role is a Monday-Friday full time position.

Key Accountabilities

•           Ensure standards of quality, cost, safety, reliability, timeliness and performance are met in production. Identify and resolve obstacles to completing project on time and to budget.
•           Identify, develop and gather the resources necessary to complete the project. Organize project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules, and resolve resource requirements.
•           Ensure the Build project meets the operability requirements laid out in the project objectives by the business.
•           Monitor and report on the status of industrial projects including cost, timing and staffing and make needed corrections for low to medium complexity Build projects.
•           Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives.
•           Champions and reinforces Cargill’s behavioural based safety process and zero fatalities throughout every phase of Build projects.
•           Provides overall leadership to ensure consistency in the development of the capital planning process for base and non-base capital projects. 
•           Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
•    Engineering qualifications to BTEC level or equivalent.
•    Directly related work experience from food manufacturing ideally or similar. 

Preferred Qualifications
•    Project engineering / process improvement experience with exposure to delivering small to medium sized CAPEX projects, in a safe, in budget and time efficient manner.
•    Able to manage multiple stakeholders, influence others, collaborate with multi-disciplined teams and clearly give project updates and use project tracking tools.
•    Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 
•    Project management experience, including tracking and planning projects in industry/ mechanic or electrical engineering.
•    Experience in project management from beginning to the end, including crucial stages. 
•    Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations.
•    Organizational and communication skills.
•    Able to work independence.
