Job Purpose and Impact

The Specification Data & Technology Specialist will be accountable for the design and rollout of SAP specification implementation and the connected processes within North America Protein. In this role, you will lead business readiness activities to ensure processes, data and information are established and streamlined for a successful implementation. Post implementation, you will be responsible for managing and delivering data to key stakeholders, as well as maintaining system effectiveness. You will be critical to drive results, proactively identify and resolve problems and collaborate effectively with all levels within the designated organization and enterprise and supporting functions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the implementation of system and process deployments to enable business capabilities.

  • Gather and document business requirements, validate system configurations and ensure processes meet the business needs.

  • Partner with technical teams to ensure the design, build and delivery of all in scope business processes to enable business capabilities.

  • Provide regular progress measures to identify variances from the plan and take corrective actions as needed for timely implementation.

  • Define deployment objectives and scope utilizing knowledge of project management practices and procedures.

  • Lead efforts in collaboration with manufacturing facilities, leadership, and IT to deliver desired business results.

  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Maintain system effectiveness and continued management of product processing detail in specification system

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in food manufacturing enviornment

  • Experience in SAP implementation

  • Experience managing large data sets

  • Experience leading and managing projects with change management elements
