Job Purpose and Impact

The Associate Marketing Manager will be responsible for working with their team to craft and execute a product marketing strategy to drive profitable growth and customer dedication within the Foodservice channel. You will partner with our Marketing and Business teams, as well as our Sales Leadership team, to establish marketing plans to enable an outstanding customer experience to deliver valuable offerings for Foodservice customers and prospects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Plan, execute and measure brand/product marketing strategies, campaigns and annual plans for a customer or specific channel/s that support business objectives

  • In collaboration with the Marketing, Business and Sales teams, align brand/product strategy initiatives with channel value propositions, plans and goals while ensuring offerings support customer needs and offer the highest potential for growth

  • Act as a project manager ensuring successful and timely execution of the marketing plan, including key product/customer/channel initiatives based on priorities established through the business planning process

  • Demonstrating deep knowledge of category and customer priorities, this role will help identify areas where additional profitability and brand growth can be achieved

  • Supervise channel performance and metrics and serve as the feedback loop from sales and customers to optimize effectiveness and efficiency of initiatives that improve return on investment

  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff

  • Manage relationships with advertising agencies and external marketing partners 

  • Oversee marketing spend to brand and/or product line annual budgets

  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, or Business related or equivalent experience

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver timely projects within budge guidelines

  • Experience executing consumer, channel and/or customer specific campaigns and promotions

  • Proven ability to work and influence cross-functionally to achieve business and marketing objectives

  • Strong project management skills

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of six years of experience in marketing, communications, advertising, or closely related field

  • Master's degree in Marketing 

  • Experience managing agency and external partner relationships

  • Food or consumer products experience

  • Foodservice channel experience
