Job Purpose and Impact

The Supply Chain Planning Lead will supervise supply, demand and inventory planners, will be accountable for strategic as well as short term planning of all manufacturing facilities including - Own and Contract Manufacturing within the Cargill Cocoa and Chocolate North America network, overseeing all day-to-day supply, demand  and inventory planning and fulfillment activities for Cargill Cocoa and Chocolate North America. In this role, you will lead our team that monitors key integrated business planning performance indicators, cost-to-serve performance data, helping coordinate cross-functional work teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct performance management, talent development, succession planning and engagement.
  • Review and publish supply, demand and inventory planning metrics targets.
  • Prepare the supply, demand and inventory planning inputs for capacity scenarios and recommendations.
  • Using substantial knowledge and robust experience, define inventory strategy and segmentation, incorporating other relevant strategies.
  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of six years of supply chain related work experience to include at least 3 years of Supply Chain Planning experience
  • Experience working with supply chains in a manufacturing environment 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three or more years of supervisory experience
  • Ten or more years of experience with at least five years of Functional experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, warehouse network, transportation operations – including import/export, S&OP and information systems and data management techniques necessary for the effective monitoring of SC Planning functions in the food and/or food ingredient space
  • MBA
  • APICS and/or CPIM certification
  • Lean Six Sigma qualified 
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with IBP
