JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

 

The Regional Mechanical Reliability Engineer IV will provide leadership to support safe and reliable plant operations across the region or geography with a focus on mechanical equipment, proactive maintenance concepts, oversight and deployment of equipment maintenance strategies, asset criticality, predictive technologies, project management optimization and reliability centered maintenance. In this role, you will drive improved performance through education, deployment, and oversight of metrics and develop and lead the design, installation, and operational specification standards. You will drive continuous improvement to optimize the company's physical assets and maintenance and reliability processes and strategies and be directly involved in the continued implementation and leadership of a progressive and integrated reliability centered maintenance and equipment reliability improvement process.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Lead and drive maintenance and reliability programs across a region including process standardization, process improvement recommendations, risk mitigation strategies, and vendor utilization and management.
  • Oversee metrics and measure performance and program business impact across a region.
  • Communicate new leading practices and provide domain expertise for remediation of identified deficiencies from assessments using a variety of techniques to provide guidance and training to the regional team and leadership.
  • Lead mechanical asset oriented bad actor identification, quantification, and elimination process including championing asset reliability, asset health improvement, action closure after coordinated assessments, and consistent application of reliability centered maintenance and root cause analysis.
  • Provide input and review the design, installation specifications, plans of high importance, and projects including setting reliability standards, equipment evaluation criteria, technical supplier evaluation, and inspection criteria as part of the reliability excellence deliverables.
  • Deploy and sustain core maintenance and reliability standards, programs, and training to enhance the capabilities of the site and regional teams and leads maturity assessments against processes and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Location: This position may sit at any of our Cargill Starches, Sweeteners, and Texturizers locations or in Wayzata, MN. The preference is Wayzata, MN. 


 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Experience in the application of reliability tools
  • Knowledge in maintenance process management
  • Change management or project management experience
  • Experience, training and knowledge in reliability centered maintenance principles
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Ability to travel up to 40%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in engineering or similar technical discipline
  • Minimum of ten years of reliability experience
  • Certified maintenance reliability professional or similar certification
  • Six sigma green or black belt certification
  • Training in predictive maintenance technologies
  • Governance or auditing experience
