Job Purpose and Impact

The Corporate Governance Specialist will perform a variety of law-related tasks under the general direction of the Corporate Governance team’s senior leaders. In this role, you will help conduct research, draft stock transaction and governance documents and perform other recordkeeping, process assessment and related duties.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work closely with the Corporate Governance team to facilitate stock transactions, perform account management tasks and respond to requests from shareholders and trustees. 
  • Use stock management software, digital recordkeeping systems and other readily available data sources to conduct routine research.
  • With regular supervision, develop and maintain files, databases, and systems to collect, store and retrieve data on stock transactions, account management, trustee correspondence, etc.
  • Help draft, review, and edit legal entity management documents based on standard knowledge of corporate governance practices and procedures.
  • Prepare transaction forms and other corporate governance templates under direct supervision.
  • Under regular supervision, coordinate and monitor efficiency of recordkeeping and document management processes.
  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Shareholder relations or account management experience.
  • Familiarity with executing stock transactions.
  • Prior corporate governance, legal or related experience, particularly in a global organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.
