Job Purpose and Impact

The Automation Electrical and Instrumentation Solutions Architect will implement manufacturing technology solutions and strategies to support business objectives in the areas of manufacturing operations management, manufacturing execution systems, supervisory control and data acquisition, human machine interfaces and process automation systems. In this role, you will maintain knowledge of automation and operations technology industry trends and apply this knowledge to educate the business on opportunities to build better target architectures that support and drive business decisions. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, peers and leadership to ensure solutions are implemented successfully using best practices and recommend how to improve current practices across the business.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide technical oversite for project managers and project teams and act as a liaison between all technical teams and the business unit.
  • Lead, guide and advise on the purchase, design, installation, configuration and maintenance of complex operating system equipment and software.
  • Implement short and long term operational technology solutions that meet the needs of the organization.
  • Provide guidance on service strategies across infrastructure, applications and security offerings.
  • Act as an automation systems and technology expert to ensure the processes and systems support the business and be a point of contact for service issue escalation and crisis management response.
  • Partner collaboratively on automation process development, communication, training and implementation and provide technical expertise for application support, troubleshoot and identify complex risks and present and escalate identified issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Information.

  • This position is posted internally as well as externally.
  • This is position is remotely within US only. 

Compensation


The expected salary for this position is $110,000 - $120,000. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in operations facilities with challenging environmental health and safety aspects.
  • Experience working with industrial process control systems, virtualized servers and deterministic networks.
