Job Purpose and Impact

The Strategic Marketing and Technology (SMT) Director Cargill Animal Nutrition in Eastern Europe is responsible for leading the development and deployment of the overall strategy for each specie and customer segment.  This role is responsible for supervising the ruminants, swine, poultry and lifestyle segments within the region,  along with the Marketing and communication organization. In this role, you will be accountable for directing the development of the products, services, technologies and tools to achieve the strategic plans of Cargill Animal Nutrition business in Eastern Europe based on the company goals. You will guide a team that provides technical application support and you will have accountability for the offering and related financial results as a part of CAN Eastern Europe Leadership Team. 


The role requires this leader to be passionate about the animal nutrition business, curious about customer needs and industry trends, contribute to the business leadership team, and demonstrate marketing and technology leadership.  This individual must have a proven track record as a leader that aligns with the culture & values of Cargill Animal Nutrition, applies their unique skills & experiences to impact the business results, and commits to developing others for future business leadership. Builds relationship, establish track record in serving the business, drafting best practices, gaining insight on new opportunities and providing the 'voice of the customer'.

Key Accountabilities

  • Define the short and long term growth strategy for the business (Where to Play & How to Win)
  • Lead the design, development and implementation of marketing programs, update customer segmentation to ensure the business competitiveness.
  • Allocate resources to execute plans that drive growth
  • Ensure that the strategic marketing and technology are aligned with commercial needs.
  • Conduct Annual Business planning for the new product services and solutions budget.
  • Collaborate with the sales leaders, global strategic marketing and technology resources  and other functions to develop portfolios that deliver value to the customer and Cargill.
  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.
  • Identify and develop key capabilities in the customer facing organization to achieve our long-term aspirations

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in animal nutrition or agriculture or equivalent business experience
  • Experience in animal nutrition or animal health business
  • Ability to communicate well in English (written, verbal)
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience leading leaders, providing coaching, developing talent, and building a high-performance team

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD or Masters degree, preferably in Business, Business Administration, or Marketing degree, Animal Nutrition
  • 5+ years strategic marketing leadership experience, developing a go to market strategy, leveraging customer insight and innovation
  • Experience in growing a business 
  • Experience and proven success in strategic expertise, along with leading strategic projects to impact the business financial results
