Job Purpose and Impact

The QA Lead Cocoa Beans is responsible for the assurance of the cocoa bean food safety programs throughout our global cocoa bean supply chain, from origin country to intake at our cocoa plants. The QA lead Cocoa beans will lead continuous improvement projects, provide specific product line knowledge and be a subject matter expert for the food safety, quality and undesired substances of cocoa beans. He/She is an important stakeholder for the internal organization.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead continuous improvement projects on quality, food safety, and undesired substances
  • Lead the Global monitoring program for cocoa beans and related products
  • Assure compliance with quality standards and systems such as HACCP, organic, and others as assigned.
  • Responsible for warehouse auditing of our cocoa beans storage in EMEA to assure that quality standards are met
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams and FSQR teams, located in our various regions, to identify and mitigate quality risks.
  • Conducts root cause analysis for defects, non-conformities, or other quality failures.
  • Provides management of specific segments of quality management systems and provides continuous improvement support for operations or other functional areas where needed.
  • Investigates and responds to complaints and provides guidance.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
  • Strong analytical and data skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven experience in prioritizing work and meeting deadlines
  • High ability with Excel, data management.
  • Flexibility: able to cope with fast changes within a growing company
  • Good reporting skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferably master degree in related field
  • Experience in conducting food safety system audits
  • Experience in leading Continuous improvement projects and manage these end2end
