Plant Maintenance Manager
Job Purpose and Impact
The Plant Maintenance Manager will lead a team of technicians and support staff to coordinate the repair and maintenance of machinery, vehicles, equipment and buildings, and is accountable for the infrastructure and appearance of the site. In this role you will be focus on tactical and operational activities and align and implement reliability practices and programs by leading all aspects of maintenance, repair, office functions, hospitality services and project planning and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
Key Accountabilities
- Direct and engage the employees responsible for the operation, monitoring and repairs and maintenance of equipment, machines and buildings at the site.
- Collaborate with senior team members to identify opportunities to improve reliability and resolve acceptable risk tolerance for equipment.
- Participate in project planning, cost estimation, tracking and payback justification to ensure budget is met.
- Plan and prioritize work orders, scheduling overall repair and maintenance to minimize production downtime and disruptions.
- Champion personal safety and serves as a safety mentor to team.
- Ensures that critical tasks, best management practices, work instructions and procedures, audits, preventative maintenance, contractor checklists are kept up to date and training/documentation is performed.
- Ensure that contractor and vendor tasks are performed according to the corporate safety culture and routines.
- Other duties as assigned
- Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum one year of directly related work experience
- Other minimum qualifications may apply
Preferred Qualifications
- B.Tech Mechanical with overall 8 plus years’ experience in maintenance with Three year of supervisory experience is mandatory
- Utility knowledge like boiler, ETP, RO and compressor is must
- Operational maintenance knowledge on bucket elevators, conveyors, grinders, dryer and cooler or material transferring equipment’s.
- Knowledge on reliability excellence is added advantage
- Basic knowledge on electrical equipment’s
- Experience supporting audit compliance and root/cause analysis processes.
