Warehouse Operative II
The purpose of this role is to operate a fork lift truck for a range of duties in a busy animal feed factory.
The first priority is safe operation in a busy work environment – FLTs share operating space with other operatives and pedestrians. The role involves clearing palletised finished products from the production lines, wrapping the pallets through a rotary stretch-wrapper, applying the correct labels and safely locating the pallets in the warehouse using a computerised warehouse management system (WMS). There is considerable racking / general warehouse space, so you must be able to operate in confined, racked environments.
You will be required to pick palletised products using WMS, load customer deliveries on outbound vehicles, unload palletised goods in and put away in the warehouse again using WMS. You will also be required to load and unload shipping containers from gound level using a ramp.
This role requires a counter-balance and reach fork truck licence.
Some manual lifting is required, as well as general housekeeping and cleaning duties as necessary.
