JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

The Corporate Development Senior Manager will be responsible for strategy development, mergers and acquisitions and new business development at the corporate and business unit level. In this role you will have a dual mission to identify and develop optimal revenue models, sales and distribution channels, pricing and new product development strategies and to develop future leaders.“

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

You will work on corporate development projects (including acquisitions, divestitures, joint-ventures, investments) across Cargill's broad array of businesses in the Asia Pacific region and globally

You will work directly and frequently alongside Cargill’s senior executives. In CSD, you will have the opportunity to contribute to and lead high-performing project teams, hone advanced financial & corporate development knowledge and general management skills, and develop a network with colleagues from operations, finance, trading, and sales.




QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Minimum of six years of in an investment bank, private equity firm, boutique advisory, Big 4 or a multi-national corporation (corporate development or business development function) with direct or indirect exposure to Asia 

2 -4 years relevant experience post completion of an MBA (MBA is not a pre-requisite but is preferred)

Strong valuation knowledge and strong understanding of financial and accounting principles

Proven ability to lead teams across diverse backgrounds and ability to work with teams across functions and businesses on transactions, including senior leadership (CXO level)

Prior experience in managing a transaction process and leading a transaction team, including driving due diligence, valuation, structuring, and SPA negotiations

Ability to oversee financial modelling efforts, including providing guidance to junior team members and ensuring consistent quality and accuracy of analysis

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (fluency in a major Asian language is highly attractive)

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization and work collaboratively in a team environment, including providing support and guidance to junior team members

This position is required to mentor and teach junior team members and invest in their development

Active participation in one or more departmental activities such as recruitment, professional development, community activities and ongoing training will be required.

This position is required to travel regionally.
