This Full-time position is in Sidney, Ohio; however please expect receiving calls from a 952 area code in case you are considered. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Invested in learning all FSO (Food Services Oil) roles. Ensures the safe, efficient and secure operation of all production lines as assigned. Contributes to overall plant productivity by providing support to the production lines by being task oriented, proactive and responsive to changes. Supports Supervisor, production lead and all Cargill Initiatives. Troubleshoots problems with production equipment and product flow. Sets a good example by following Cargill’s “Guiding Principles”. Understands and ensures that finished goods are within all customer specifications.


This is a 12 hours shift position, which working hours are from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Principal accountabilities


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Day to day operations: Will operate packaging equipment, injection molding equipment and all other associated production equipment to produce quality product in a safe and efficient manner. IE) Conveyors, Oil packaging filler, capper, labeler and printer. Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform minor maintenance on this equipment. Assist maintenance with PM’s and/or repairs as needed. Perform line changeovers and quality checks as required. Commit to learn any new FSO (Food Services Oil) initiatives. Learn to read and interpret the production schedule. Practice safe behaviors; follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)’s and food safety initiatives as designated by Cargill.

  • Team building: Assist other operators as needed. Cross train in all areas as needed. Communicate with the line lead and/or supervisor to ensure overall success in all areas.

  • Food Safety/Quality: Ensure Cargill’s and our customer’s food safety and quality criteria are understood and met without exception.

Other qualifications
  • Must be able to read, interpret and understand the FSO packaging schedule.

  • Demonstrate high performance; attendance, multi tasking, prioritizing, work performance and safety.

  • Multi-tasking abilities (Ex: simultaneous activities occur within your area and you will need to anticipate issues, plan ahead and communicate clearly when necessary).

  • Break out bottle lines

  • Multiple year demonstration of great attendance

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new equipment in a timely fashion.

  • Detail oriented; ability to recognize, understand and maintain correct processes and procedures (Ex. ensure correct labels are in use, correct oil selected, equipment is working properly and within temperature range).

Preferred
  • Previous Food Industry Experience

  • PET experience.


Requirements
  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written).
  • High School diploma or Equivalent.
  • Basic use of a computer and typing skills.
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment.
  • At least 6 months of experience driving a forklift.
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice.
Preferred
  • Able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above).
  • Prior experience in production related work.
  • Prior experience operating Injection Molding Equipment.
