Position Purpose

This position is created to support the BU’s strategic growth aspirations. The primary role is to support business leadership team to evaluate business development initiates in different geographic markets and products, to refine current game board with systematic analysis and to lead in coordinating the internal approval process for various projects

Principal Accountabilities 

60% Project Management 

Manage the capital expenditure project on a day-to-day basis on behalf of project sponsor for the best interest of business results.

Facilitate internal & external project meetings, required approval reports, project charter, and commitment submission.  

Coordinate with internal resources and engage in external resources as needed including potential partners, and professional service agencies. 

Work closely with commercial function to develop solid biz case of investment and go to market plan

Work closely with FP&A on M&A target valuation and assumptions 

Enhance and Support the execution of CASC China portfolio management processes

20% Strategy Development

Participant and assist CASC China business development activities and strategy formulation 

Refine current process and criteria to support business build a more solid and systematic overview of M&A opportunities aligned with CASC 2020 strategic priorities 

Collect and analyze data on specific strategic/commercial opportunities identified 

Systematically track execution and performance vs. expectations on major strategic projects at a portfolio level   

Support CASC related market studies and/or competitor analysis per enterprise strategic needs 

20%    Data Collection & Analysis 

Conduct market research via visits, call, interviews, web researches, and validation to support BD manager develop competitor grid and benchmarking analysis 

Work closely with commercial/marketing/GTA to support the establishment of industry intelligence database and development of p 

Education, Experience, Skills

Required Qualifications

Bachelor degree is required; 

Minimum 5 to 7 years commercial experiences with related experiences in project process management, and corporate M&A. 

Strong initiative and result orientation. Ability to work independently under limited resources and to initiate clear courses of actions. Ability to deliver quality results under time pressure. 

Ability to excel in team environment. Ability to work with people from all levels, from ground floor to senior management 

Can quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all, and can solve problems with peers with minimum of noise

Skilled in change management and conflict management 

With flexibility to travel at 30%-40% of the working time

Good analytical skills and logical thinking; 

Good financial modeling and quantitative scenario analytical skill.

Strong in Microsoft Office Suite:  PowerPoint, Word, Excel

Fluent in English and Mandarin and good at English writing; 

Preferred Qualifications

Finance, economics, and business majors preferred

MBA degree is a plus, but unnecessary

MNC company experience preferred; Agricultural or commodity industry related experience is a plus;
