Job Purpose and Impact

The Global Manufacturing Technology – Natural Resources Management Systems Lead Engineer is part of the FIBI global manufacturing technology team and will be key to developing globally aligned processes, standards, and governance as well as developing a strategic path for how we manage natural resources management systems across the manufacturing technology areas within FIBI to enable the business strategy.  This role provides technical subject matter expertise for natural resources management systems, site integrated natural resources, work process capabilities, performance monitoring, technical training, and incremental and significant improvements as well as technical expertise to support innovation road-mapping to enable the business strategy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provides leadership and sets work process standards to analyze plant performance metrics for natural resources and identify gaps in standards, metrics and measurements and implements improvements into the work process standards and develop technology transfer packages for the manufacturing technology for practical implementation at the facilities
  • Develop technical education content and providing leadership in administering training
  • Identifies opportunities and gaps in required levels of natural resource management systems knowledge, expertise and experiences and provides coaching to talent
  • Supports development of roadmap for the specific manufacturing technology, understanding industry trends, applying experience and mastery, managing intellectual property, and partnering with business and commercial teams to understand customer needs
  • Assesses and develops complex business case scenarios and alternatives to meet business strategy and identify improvement opportunities in the natural resources’ management systems area
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical or biosystems engineering or related technical field
  • Previous experience leading initiatives, programs, or projects across multiple facilities.
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience in related area
  • Basic knowledge of recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEP)
  • Ability to travel 25-30% of the time including international travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated technical expertise in natural resources management systems across manufacturing technology
  • Experience with ISO50001 deployments and auditor capabilities
  • Experience in plant operations at an operating facility
  • Experience in multiple functions including operations, engineering, reliability, manufacturing technology, research and development and production excellence.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black belt certification
  • Project management experience
  • A minimum of 10 years of industrial experience
