Job Purpose and Impact


The Production Excellence Leader will drive improvements in operational excellence across 15 European production facilities in Cargills Starches, Sweeteners, and Texturizers (CSST) Business Unit.

We seek a seasoned leader who will provide strategic vision and functional oversight, process governance, deployment delivery and capability build aligned with the business strategy needs. In this role you will align with our regional team to deploy and execute agreed upon strategies and initiatives.

Key Accountabilities
  • Advise, consult and provide overall governance and delivery support on production excellence.

  • Drive value creation through continuous improvement.

  • Provide overall oversight and direct accountability for meeting region/plants overall standards for operational effectiveness and financial performance.

  • Create, refine and execute the production excellence strategic plan.

  • Provide governance to our value creation project pipeline/portfolio and ensure capital is invested strategically and following the group strategy.

  • Lead the deployment of our corporate Cargill Manufacturing Excellence System.

  • Partner with regional leaders to ensure capability build for reliability, capital excellence and manufacturing technology is aligned with the strategic needs of our business.

  • In partnership with regional counterparts, develop, lead and champion a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Provide strategic leadership, development and talent management activities for direct reports and their organizations, which may include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, training and budgeting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of eight years of related work experience, five years of supervisory experience.

  • Ability to travel up to 35% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15 years of proven experience leading process improvement efforts (lean and/or six sigma) in large scale production and project deployments.
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effectiveness in coaching, motivating and developing high performing individuals and teams.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) with the ability to positively influence stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • LSS Black Belt or LSS Master Black Belt.
  • Experience deploying programs and a vision across multiple production facilities.
