Job Purpose and Impact

The Labor relations and employee experience HR Lead for the Netherlands will lead employee and labor relations programs to ensure compliance with policies and practices. In this role, you will deliver excellent and efficient HR solutions with local expertise.

Key Accountabilities

  • Effectively leads the HR Employee/Industrial Relations and Employee Experience (HR business partner) team in the Netherlands to high performance and engagement, coaches and develops a team of experienced professionals, makes decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance and development.
  • Develop HR business plan and execution strategy on key HR programs in the Netherlands, in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, to elevate the client experience and serve our businesses.
  • Effectively manage team capacity within agreed timeframe and governance based on HR project portfolio and day to day workload.
  • Lead development of a multi-year IR strategy and roadmap aligned to company mandate and administer collective bargaining agreements and grievances. 
  • Coordinate local negotiation strategy and execution approach with social partners, can participate in negotiating multilocation agreements with unions.
  • Maintain ongoing formal and informal communications towards key clients (business leadership, employees, people managers) within the market on a wide range of HR topics and drive unified HR communication strategy for the Netherlands.
  • Handle grievances, serving as our organization's arbitration representative.
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience


  • Three years of team management experience
  • Forward looking, able to quickly prioritize and adjust, translates business plan to local country priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management towards key clients within the market on all HR topics.
  • Demonstrates agility and ability to deal with competing priorities. Brings innovative solutions when service delivery issues occur (within budget).
  • Brings outside in and has strong view on external labor market developments.
  • Provide leadership to (senior) managers and possibly supervisors and/or professional staff.
