Job Purpose and Impact

The Transportation and Logistics Operations Assistant will conduct production activities in a manufacturing or field site to optimize resource use, minimize costs and maintain quality standards. We seek a professional who will help us conduct data management, import and export declarations, reporting and analysis, shipping, client interaction, business partnership, and people, resource, budget and project management.

Key Accountabilities

  • Efficient administration of  Import & export shipments (outside the EU).
  • Regular contact with outside parties (logistics services providers, carriers, export agents and toll processors).
  • Auditing of logistics services provider, toll fillers & processors and external warehouses to ensure that agreed procedures are followed. Preparation and control of reports on costs and activities of external parties.
  • Contribute to developing, maintaining and executing regulatory compliance procedures.
  • Solicit, collect and organize documentation and data, performing routine data entry into one or more systems.
  • Plan, manage and review production operations to achieve output and quality objectives.
  • Perform administrative or clerical duties in support of the shipment execution process, completing tasks using industry standard procedures.
  • Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Fluent in English
