The Senior Explore Scientist will apply innovative technology to help drive the development of new products and improved processes aligned with business objectives. In this role, you will support the team and advanced analytical knowledge to generate and analyze complex and critical data.


  • Develop and handle research plans for the functional area and targets aligned with the business objectives (technological surveillance and technological roadmaps).
  • Conduct analytical samples and experiments following environmental health and safety guidelines in a high safety focused environment, with a focus on agile methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot and innovation pipeline development (long-term and mid-term scope).
  • Present ongoing work and findings to internal audiences (operations, engineering, commercial and marketing).
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.



  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience (Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, supervisors and managers.
  • Confirmed working knowledge of scientific research principles, concepts, practices and standards.
  • Technical background with a consumer centric mindset
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • B2 o superior English level


  • Master's degree or other post-secondary degree (Food, Chemistry, innovation fields)
  • Knowledge or experience in proteins
  • Experience in academic roles
  • Experience in intellectual property issues
