Job Purpose and Impact

The Customer Service Representative will execute customer service activities for the factory in Rotterdam. In this role you will support the Customer Service organization in the Netherlands to meet their goals and objectives to the overall Customer Service and Cargill strategy, optimal delivery of goods to our customers on time and in full, create accurate customer orders from order intake to invoicing.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage a portfolio of customers (domestic and export markets) from order intake to invoicing by performing complex administrative tasks.
  • Actively follow up on the stages of an order including coordination with internal stakeholders, external transport and logistic providers to ensure smooth order execution.
  • Inform customers about order status, invoices and other standard information needed to maximize  customer satisfaction.
  • Actively follow up on the outcome and actions of the Customer Complaint Management process and support improvement projects.
  • Provide administrative support to maintaining and updating systems to ensure the application of Supply Chain business rules and notify deviations (lead times, surcharges, communication flows, etc.).
  • Handle complex customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent.
  • Previous Customer Services or logistics experience (in domestic and/or export market).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree.
  • Suitable language skills for the required area: English and Dutch (mandatory); German will be a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Knowledge in SAP or any similar ERP system is a plus.
  • Execution capacity and organization skills, prioritizing and problem-solving capacity.
  • Commitment to Customer Focus.
  • Ability to connect and engage with different Stakeholders and other Functions.
  • High standard of numeracy, literacy and verbal communication is essential.
